    dos Simcity

    Version

    2 downloads

In 1990, Maxis made the first and legendary Simcity, a city construction simulator. Starting in 1900, no buildings exists and you have to create road, create industrial and residential zones, school, police stations and much more to make you city grow. Sometime you have to face natural disasters like a twister or a flood. In the free mode no goal is set, so the victory or the defeat does not exist. You may also play a scenario where you have a limited number of year to change the city. Several problems exist : high criminality, traffic jams, nuclear disaster or very high unemployment. The game was a big it and a lot of Sim games followed later on, though the second opus, sim city 2000, is seen as one of the best. Version

It’s undeniable that Myst has both in equal measure, as it’s better to describe it all as an experience than a game. You start off Myst completely clueless, with nothing but a note from Artrus and his wife Catherine guiding you. This note leads you to a hidden chamber next to the dock, where you discover another secret message. The story slowly unfolds, through Artrus’ writings you learn about the man and his creation of the Ages. Artrus suspects that one of his sons is destroying the books, and so he imprisons both of them. You find the books in the library and, assuming you’ve got Quicktime working correctly, find a video message from each son proclaiming his innocence, but whom do you believe? There are also missing pages scattered throughout the Ages which you have to retrieve, and all manner of puzzles to solve. In one Age, for example, you have to guide water through pipes to trigger a series of switches. As in previous games made by the Millers, Myst isn’t completely linear. You get a feeling of exploration as you’re snooping around the place, and you can even travel through various Ages before you decide which puzzle you want to tackle. Myst was truly ambitious and highly successful for many reasons. First it was one of the first games that shipped exclusively for CD-ROMs, a risky but in the long run rewarding undertaking. The best-selling CD-ROM of its time, it lead the way for an army of copycats to follow the same route – the infamous Myst clones, which were so numerous that they fielded their own gaming category. The game was released on almost every console that had the memory to run it, popularizing point and click adventures like never before. Gameplay

DOSBox This game requires DOSBox emulator. Get it here Similar to the first Prince of Persia, the character explores various deadly areas by running, jumping, crawling, avoiding traps, solving puzzles and drinking magic potions. Prince of Persia 2 is, however, more combat-heavy than its predecessor. In the first game, enemies appear only occasionally and are always alone, while in the sequel, up to four enemies may appear at once, sometimes flanking the player, and may even be instantly replaced by reinforcements when they are killed. As in Prince of Persia, the trick is to complete the game under a strict time limit from 75 minutes in the game that passes in real time. Lives are unlimited, but time cannot be regained (except by reverting to a previously saved game). In other areas, more significant improvements have been made. The graphics are far more complex than the simple look of the game's predecessor, the areas explored are larger, and the variety of backdrops is greater. Prince of Percia 2 gameplay
