    Fallout 2

Set eighty years after the end of the first game, this post-apocalyptic role-playing odyssey builds on the story of the Vault Dweller. The backstory is simple. Cast out by his or her own people, the hero of Vault 13 wandered the Wastes for a while before founding the village of Arroyo. By the time Fallout 2 begins, little remains of the legendary founder but collective memories, an old blue and yellow vault suit, a barely-functioning Pip Boy, and a water flask. Unfortunately, the village is dying; the crops are withered and the wells are running dry. The solution? Send you, the player and lineal descendent of the Vault Dweller, on a quest to find the one object that can save Arroyo: the G.E.C.K., or Garden of Eden Creation Kit. Naturally, no one has the foggiest idea of where one might find a G.E.C.K., other than that it might be best to scout out another vault to see if anyone happened to have an unused one lying about. Armed only with a spear, the vault suit of your forefather or mother and a genuine Vault 13 water flask, it’s your job to scour the wastelands looking for salvation in a suitcase. And scour you will, all over northern California and Nevada. There are a lot of places to visit in Fallout 2, though few are critical to the main plot. Just as in the original game, however, you’ll want to buff up your character through a lot of side quests before tackling the nastier bits of the main story. Gameplay

Note Requires ISO emulator. Not tested on Windows 10. During the 1980s, Interplay left its mark on computer role-playing through a classic called Wasteland. Universally hailed for its then superior gameplay, Wasteland threw players into a dreary, vast, post-apocalyptic world where mutants, blood-thirsty gangs, and radiation-scarred madmen roamed the land. It’s then probably no surprise that Interplay decided to revisit this desolate but attractive setting with Fallout. And the result is one of the finest role-playing games around. During the introduction, we learn that the player character is one of the “lucky” few who have survived inside a massive nuclear bunker. Yet, after seventy years of isolation, time is beginning to run out for the vault-dwellers; the chip that controls the Vault’s water purification system has given out and supplies are running desperately low. With only 150 days left before the remaining water runs out, the leader of the Vault asks you to journey into the hostile wastelands to find a replacement chip. Gameplay

X-Com 1 Offering strategy in a world of sci-fi / futuristic, turn-based, rpg elements, X-COM: UFO Defense is an abandonware developed by Mythos Games Ltd. and published by MicroProse Software, Inc.. Released in 1994, you wander around in a isometric, bird's-eye view perspective. The first game of the X-COM series, UFO was well received but suffers from its uneven graphics and the heavy menus. The game takes loads of hours to be enjoyed! If you are having problems running the game then check out this page. X-Com 2 A must-have for any strategy and wargame lovers, Terror from the deep is quite similar to UFO, but have more various sceneries, is more complexity and a bigger longevity. This X-COM got more plans, more guns, bewitching music and formidable AI (too much sometime). Some bad points: interception phases can be laborious sometime, the game interface is still messy and the game is not in S-VGA! Tons of time is necessary to play it, beware! X-COM: Terror from the Deep patch, fixes, maps or miscellaneous utilities. If you are having problems running the game then check out this page.

Magic and Mayhem comes from Mythos, the guys famous for the creation of X-Com. A game that combines elements of role-playing with strategy, action and puzzles, Magic and Mayhem almost succeeds in creating a new category. Set in a world ripe with magic and mythology, you play a young mage, Cornelius, who seeks to uncover the mystery surrounding the disappearance of his mentor. The result is adventures that will span three islands, which will uncover new mysteries and make new friends, and force you to face a multitude of challenges, puzzles and enemies. Magic and Mayhem is loosely based on the old Mythos classic Chaos. The diversity in the design and implementation of the magic system is very interesting. There are three different spell types: lawful, neutral, and chaotic. Each class of spell is represented by its own different colored talisman. There are 21 different ingredients in the game; each allows a different spell when placed in one of the three talismans. This allows quite a diverse selection of spells, including 21 Creature spells (from Elves to Dragons) and 42 other spells including Tornado, Iron Skin, and Meteor Strike spells. The spells can be combined for added diversity, and the balance and counterbalance for individual spells is so well designed that discovering and effectively merging them into effective combined spell types can be a formidable task. If you can't stand sight of blood and the idea that you won't play on the good side is frighting, the game Blood Omen may not be for you. On the other side, if you consider fun to hide from light, fear of water, garlic and sharp stakes, you like the night and innocent people, then Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain is a perfect game for you. Blood Omen is the saga of knight Kain. When Kain has been murdered he gets to hell, where he meets Necromancer and he gives Kain a "fair" offer - either go to hell, or has one other option - to become a vampire. This brings its own advantages, but also disadvantages. However, since the hitch up for revenge is stronger, Kain wants to find his killers, so he opts for immortality and sharp teeth. And here begins the game itself. Wakeing up in your crypt, you search the surroundings, you can find basic spells and set off on a journey for revenge. Gradually, you will naturally find out that it's not going to be as easy as you imagine and Necromancer has other plans with you, rather than your revenge. The whole story is very complicated, but the game is excellent in telling it. However, during the game you have to throw all morality away, because you're not som good guy here, you are going to massacre everything that comes to your way, regardless of innocence of each character. But even this aspect makes this game so different from the others and it is a great mix of action and RPG games. Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain gameplay

Treasure Adventure Game was created by Stephen Orlando. He spent over 2 years of his life developing it. When you see the scope and detail in this game, it’s hard to believe that it was created by just one guy. But it was! So if you like it, head over to his website and break that donate button! This game was clearly made with passion. You can see the proof of this almost everywhere. The 2D environments are colorful and enchanting, gameplay feels smooth and polished, not to mention the absolutely huge and very diversified world in which you can spend many hours just exploring. Treasure Adventure Game casts you in the role of a young boy who lands on an island that is a fragment of what was once a continent, destroyed in the war between a demon and a wizard. You accept quests, travel across the oceans, and generally have a bang-up time of being a little boy in a big world, out there looking for treasure and adventure. Your equipment consists of a hat, a parrot, and a boat that appears whenever you touch water. Combine those with the basic platforming abilities like jumping and crawling that you’re familiar with from every platforming game ever, and you’ve got the basics of a phenomenal romp across a huge world filled with treasure, maps, secrets, danger, and triumph. The music changes with the environments and day-night cycles, enhancing the feel the game is evoking and making you feel immersed in the world as you travel through it. The game has a retro feel, yes, but you really have to see it for yourself to understand what Treasure Adventure Game brings to the table. Since it’s free, of course, there is simply no reason not to!
