    D-Fend Reloaded

Running DOS games has never been easier...
D-Fend Reloaded is a graphical environment for DOSBox. DOSBox emulates a complete computer including the DOS commandline and allows to run nearly all old DOS based games on modern hardware with any of the newer Windows versions. With DOSBox there is no need to worry about memory managers or free conventional RAM, but the setup of DOSBox is still a bit complicated. The configuration of DOSBox via textbased setup files might be difficult for beginners. D-Fend Reloaded may help and create these files for you. Additionally the D-Fend Reloaded installation package contains DOSBox (including all lanuage files currently available), so there is only one installation to be run and no need to link D-Fend Reloaded with DOSBox manually. Easy start:
The D-Fend Reloaded installer provides everything you need to run old DOS games (D-Fend Reloaded GUI, DOSBox, language files, FreeDos commandline tools). During the first start of D-Fend Reloaded everything is set up automatically. [More...]  Searching and sorting games:
D-Fend Reloaded contains many service tools to keep the overview even in large game archives. Games can be filtered by categories like genre and year of publication, you can also conduct find-as-you-type searches. For every game you can setup a data folder for manuals etc. [More...]  Creating new profiles:
Besides using the normal profile editor, new profiles may be added by the profile wizard. Additionally templates for different game types are integrated which need only the name and the path of the game as input. [More...]  Managing profiles:
D-Fend Reloaded collects all information regarding a certain program in its profile (program directory, screenshot directory, manual directory, icon file etc.). Therefore complete games may be deinstalled using D-Fend Reloaded and games can be copied from one installation to another. D-Fend Reloaded is also able to build installer packes to transfer games to other computers. (To use this feature you need NSIS.) Additionally complete games can be packed to zip and 7z files by the builtin zip support for archiving or transfering. [More...]  Language support:
DOSBox and D-Fend Reloaded are multilingual. The installer package contains all currently available language files. D-Fend Reloaded automatically sets up the DOSBox keyboard layout which refers to the language choosen for D-Fend Reloaded. [More...]  Compability:
D-Fend Reloaded can read D-Fend and DBFrondend config files. D-Fend Reloaded is completely compatible with Windows Vista (in particular it runs without admin rights). [More...]  More highlights:
Games can be installed from zip files without any configuration.. D-Fend Reloaded may be installed in a portable operation mode (for USB-Sticks etc.). Besides DOSBox you can also use ScummVM as emulator. Also Windows-based games can be managed in D-Fend Reloaded. With the integrated Bochs-FAT-Image-Creator you may create floppy and harddisk images to be used with DOSBox directly from the D-Fend Reloaded GUI. D-Fend Reloaded can create images from CDs and floppy disks which can be used as drives in DOSBox.

    windows Jazz Jackrabbit 3

Jazz Jackrabbit 3 (alternatively called Jazz Jackrabbit 3D: Adventures of a Mean Green Hare) is the cancelled game of the series. Spearheaded by Dean "Noogy" Dodrill (an animator for Jazz Jackrabbit 2) and coded by World Tree Games, it was being developed for the original Unreal Engine technology in 1999. As the game's alternate name implies, Jazz would have venture into the realm of 3D for the first time. The game was planned for release on PC and PlayStation 2.
Development of the game was ceased part way through in May 2000 as Epic MegaGames was unable to find a publisher. Since then, the alpha has been leaked on to the internet. Besides Jazz, other characters such as Spaz and Lori were intended to be playable, but in the alpha, only Jazz is playable.
Following the events of Jazz Jackrabbit 2, Jazz Jackrabbit and his wife, Eva Earlong, settle down in Carrotus Castle and become parents. Devan Shell, the main antagonist of the series, kidnaps their children, taking them into an alternate universe via the time machine from the previous game.
Jazz Jackrabbit 3 is a third-person shooter with platforming and adventure game elements. The mouse is used to aim and shoot, while the keyboard moves Jazz around the world. Jazz can fire his weapon, or charge up a more powerful shot. Jazz's arsenal can be expanded using coins collected to purchase new weapons and combine them with Elemental "Dream Cells" to create various weapon effects. In the alpha, only Fire and Ice Dream Cells can be acquired, and usable with two guns (the standard Blaster and the Gizmo Gun). When Jazz moves around in a level, he leaves a trail of footprints on the ground.
Unlike the previous installments, Jazz Jackrabbit 3 has no levels. Rather, it is divided into sections, similar to Super Metroid. At specific points in a map, the player can travel back and forth between these sections. Each new area that is visited is prefaced by its name.

    windows Backyard Basketball

Backyard Basketball offers two primary modes of gameplay: Single Game, which allows the player to select a team to compete against a computer-controlled team, and Season Play, which allows the player to select a team to compete against a series of computer-controlled teams over an 18-game season, including two best-of-three playoff series and a best-of-five championship series should the player achieve a large number of victories. The Single Game mode also allows the player to compete against a second player or to practice using a single character.
Before games can occur, the player has the option to modify a variety of settings. These include court selection, A.I. difficulty (easy, medium, or hard), the presence of certain rules (fouls, fatigue, violations, shot control, and power-ups), sound options (game music, background sounds, and in-game dialogue), controls, and team names. Team modification also involves the customization of jerseys.
The game’s controls are set to mouse usage by default, capitalizing on a point & click style of gameplay to move characters around. The game is also compatible with keyboards and game pads.

    dos The Orion Conspiracy

Divide by Zero’s third adventure release is an uneven space opera that has interesting puzzles and plot– marred by a huge amount of gratuitous violence and prafanity that may turn many players off.
Played in the third person through an extremely linear path, Orion’s plot revolves around your character’s investigation of the death of his son at a research station in deep space. Other, more farfetched (or derivative) plot elements come into play later in the game.
Much of the backstory is provided in a nifty little graphic novel packaged with the game, entitled “Devlin’s Story”. Other information, as well as comprehensive installation notes, are included in a well-presented game manual. Even with these aids, however, it was difficult to free up enough low DOS memory to run the game with sound card support. Orion does not identify how much free memory it requires, so there may be some trial and error in fine-tuning the game for best operation. To allow the game to run in less conventional memory, several command-line switches are suggested, which apparently display the screens at a slightly-lower resolution and offer automatic (but slow) scrolling at the screen edges.
The point-and-click user interface performs satisfactorily, with hotspots identified on the screen and possible object interactions displayed with the right mouse button. This “giveaway” of information on how you can act upon objects may make the game puzzles rather predictable and easy. On the other hand, you may find yourself spending the majority of gameplay merely moving your character from one station destination to another – often a very time-consuming process since no “zip” mode or shortcuts have been provided and access points seem arbitrarily restricted from each other. We’ll suspend our disbelief about the amount of gravity on a 10-acre asteroid.

    dos Simcity

In 1990, Maxis made the first and legendary Simcity, a city construction simulator. Starting in 1900, no buildings exists and you have to create road, create industrial and residential zones, school, police stations and much more to make you city grow.
Sometime you have to face natural disasters like a twister or a flood. In the free mode no goal is set, so the victory or the defeat does not exist.
You may also play a scenario where you have a limited number of year to change the city. Several problems exist : high criminality, traffic jams, nuclear disaster or very high unemployment.
The game was a big it and a lot of Sim games followed later on, though the second opus, sim city 2000, is seen as one of the best.

    windows Zoo Tycoon

Start building & managing your zoo right from the start -- plan out your exhibits and design a layout Do your very best to please customers and the animals Inhabit your zoo with the right animals to draw in the big crowds Over 200 animals to exhibit, plus all kinds of new & interesting plant life to help make your zoo more exotic Manage your zoo wisely -- meet the needs of both the people and the animals without losing all your money Zoo Tycoon is a zoo simulation video game putting the player in control of their own fictional zoo business. The gameplay formula introduced in the original Zoo Tycoon in 2001 received updates throughout the series, but its theme and main motifs remain unchanged: Players must build, expand, and/or upgrade a zoo by purchasing animals, creating suitable animal habitats, and allocate staff and resources for animal maintenance and care. As the ultimate goal of the game is revenue, players must also provide for visitors by building food/drink stands, sanitary facilities, picnic areas, and an aesthetically pleasing environment. Higher revenue is generated by keeping both animals and visitors happy. If the animals are released from their enclosure, they can kill the visitors.
Zoo Tycoon features three modes: Scenario, Challenge, and Freestyle. The Scenario mode puts players in control of a preset scenario in which they have to accomplish multiple objectives within a time period. New items are unlocked as the scenario progresses. The Challenge mode, first introduced in Zoo Tycoon 2, resembles the Scenario mode in that the player is in a preset scenario with limited funds and must accomplish certain goals. It differs in that this mode is not progressive. The Freestyle mode differs in each game, but usually leaves the player free to build a zoo from scratch however they see it.

    dos Cosmic Spacehead

Cosmic Spacehead is a decent arcade adventure drawn in the illustration style of the 1950s (TV's The Jetsons comes to mind).
Bright graphics, a simple point-and-click interface for the adventure elements, interspursed with enjoyable arcade romps will keep players' attention as they explore, with Cosmic, the alien landscapes. The plot is wacky enough: to obtain a hero's welcome and much-needed cash, alien Cosmic must return to Earth and photograph the previously unexplored planet to document his visit.
Cosmic Spacehead is an intriguing mix of adventure and arcade action gameplay. The majority of gameplay is an interactive arcade adventure which takes Cosmic across the many bizarre locations of his three main stops on the way to Earth: planet Linoleum, Detroitica a vehicle factory on a lone asteroid, and a space station. Each destination is divided into many smaller play areas where Cosmic can interact with other characters, manipulate and use objects to further his quest.
True to Codemasters' expertise as makers of fun action games, Cosmic Spacehead includes many action sequences: traveling between the adventure play areas involves the successful completion of a wide variety of 32 arcade-orientated action games, ranging from astro-car racing, robot attacks, to asteroid fields and many more.
Unfortunately, the adventure portion isn't as good: the solutions to most puzzles are all too obvious, and often require items that you can only get by random luck-- definitely not a good game design. This flaw limits Cosmic Spacehead's appeal only to action fans who are interested to try out the adventure genre, or adventure fans who like a lot of action in their games. Die-hard action and adventure fans should look elsewhere for their fill.

    miscellaneous Mouse Tweaks

Mouse Tweaks replaces the standard RMB dragging mechanic, adds two new LMB dragging mechanics and an ability to quickly move items with the scroll wheel. Everything can be enabled and disabled in the configuration file or in Forge's mod options menu.

    Configuration file: .minecraft/config/MouseTweaks.cfg

    RMB Tweak

Very similar to the standard RMB dragging mechanic, with one difference: if you drag over a slot multiple times, an item will be put there multiple times. Replaces the standard mechanic if enabled.
    Configuration setting: RMBTweak=1
Hold your right mouse button Drag your mouse around the crafting grid You can drag your mouse on top of existing items LMB Tweak (with item)

Lets you quickly pick up or move items of the same type.
    Configuration setting: LMBTweakWithItem=1
Hold your left mouse button to pick up an item Drag your mouse across the inventory. Items of the same type will be picked up Hold shift and drag. Items of the same type will get "shift-clicked" MB Tweak (without item)

Quickly move items into another inventory.
    Configuration setting: LMBTweakWithoutItem=1
Hold shift, then hold your left mouse button (Mouse cursor is not visible for some reason) Drag your mouse across the inventory. Items will get "shift-clicked" (Mouse cursor is not visible for some reason) Wheel Tweak

Scroll to quickly move items between inventories. When you scroll down on an item stack, its items will be moved one by one. When you scroll up, items will be moved into it from another inventory.

    Configuration setting: WheelTweak=1

    Configuration setting: WheelSearchOrder=1

When you scroll up, the mod will search for items from last to first (when this is set to 1) or from first to last (when this is set to 0).

    Configuration setting: WheelScrollDirection=0

Set this to 1 to invert the default scroll actions. So, when set to 1, scrolling down will pull the items and scrolling up will push the items.

    Configuration setting: OnTickMethodOrder=Forge, LiteLoader

Mouse Tweaks can use multiple APIs for an OnTick method that it requires. You can use this setting to control the API it prefers. This shouldn't really matter at all. If a method isn't supported (for example, you don't have the API installed) the mod will proceed to check the next ones.

    miscellaneous Sildur's shaders

    What is "Sildurs shaders"?

Sildur's Shaders is an extension of GLSL shader mod. This shaderpack adds several effects to the game, like shadows, volumetric lighting, bloom and water reflections. Unlike other shaderpacks, Sildur's Shaders is designed to work on all graphics cards and computers, including Macs, while still delivering a great graphical experience. See below for screenshots and download links.

I run this shader as my default one. Recommended version is "high". It looks awesme and the video below was made with this shader mod.

This pack holds its original inspiration from ExtraNoise's QUANDARY PACK, which featured work from Bonemouse as well as myself, Cpt. Corn.

    The X-Files Game

Join special agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully in The X-Files Game, an live-action adventure from Fox Interactive. This investigation into the shadowy world of The X-Files contains entirely new footage, shot exclusively for this title.
As agent Craig Willmore, you'll examine evidence, interview witnesses, and interact with familiar X-Files characters, such as Fox Mulder, Dana Scully, Assistant Director Skinner, the Lone Gunmen, X, and other familiar faces from the series. The X-Files Game incorporates VirtualCinema technology, a cutting-edge software engine that allows the player to become the main character in the story. Players are able to respond to and affect other characters' attitudes and behavior, which change as the game progresses, depending on the course of previous events. An intuitive user interface facilitates complete immersion of the player into The X-Files world.
Developed in close cooperation with Chris Carter, The X-Files series creator, and Ten Thirteen Productions, The X-Files Game features the work of Frank Spotnitz, series writer and co-executive producer; Jon Joffin, director of photography; and Mark Snow, composer.
Instructions 1)Mount CD 1 using a ISO reaidn software or by right clicking and choose "Mount" (Windows 8 and 10)
    2) Install full game. It will ask you to switch CDs, make sure you eject the one that is already mounted before you mount the next CD.
    3) Wait for the installer to finish.
    4) Install Quick Time. The game requires the Quick Time player to run. There's no way around it.
    5) Enjoy
If there are any problems with either the installer or the game, try running them in XP compatibility mode. I got this game installed and running on my Windows 10 PC.

Blood II: The Chosen + Expansion

Yes, you can kill with Voodoo dolls in Blood 2

Hellbent on being ultra-violent and generally disagreeable, Blood 2 follows the original game but sets the action some one hundred years into the future, incorporating lots of sci-fi imagery in the process. Visually, this game is miles away from its Build-powered predecessor, using Monolith’s patented LithTech engine (the same one used in No One Lives Forever and Shogo). As a result, Blood II is practically bursting with vibrant colors and neat environmental effects, like fire, smoke, and, of course, blood. Buckets of blood actually, as this coupled with the game’s dark humor are the only things differentiating it from any other shooter.
Levels are typically linear affairs, involving simple ‘go here and activate this or that’ sort of gameplay that proceeds you into the following level. Again, this game makes no attempt at redefining the genre, but it looks good, sounds good and plays fairly well. The music in particular feels surreal at times and fits perfectly with some of the more macabre imagery. Even so, the polished visuals do lose out to the previous Blood’s much more gritty appearance, which could nauseate at a moment’s notice. The LithTech engine’s more crispier, colorful visual presentation struggles throughout in this regard.
Gone are the robe wielding cultists of old, as Blood II pits you against fanatics wearing Armani suits alongside a multitude of supernatural creatures, like the axe-wielding zombie or the facehugger-like Bone Leech (reminiscent to the disembodied hand that strangles you, also returning here as well). While enemies usually make for tricky target practice, this is usually due to their almost perfect aim than acute intelligence. Their pathfinding seems particularly atrocious, with brain-dead zombies stopping in their tracks at the mere sight of any obstacles.
You’ll typically take damage whenever you have a cultist within your sights, and these guys have a tendency to gang up at every corner. Even when taking hits, foes still manage to shoot back with uncanny aim, regardless of whether you’re strafing, crouching or jumping. Although not inherently a terrible thing, you’ll also notice how very easily enemies tend to gib, almost as if they were blood-filled helium balloons waiting to get popped. There’s little satisfaction in smearing bad guys all over the walls when just a couple of bullets can turn them into red wallpaper.
At a total of twenty guns, you’ll eventually be forced to drop obsolete boomsticks for better hardware, and some of the best explosive weapons do indeed rock. At the end of it all, Blood II offers quite a prolonged splatterfest through a colorful, grim alternate universe. It’s quite a long ride, laden with crimson trails, explosions, insane cultists and lots of hot lead. Yet at the end of it all, one might be left asking… was there a point?
