  1. Hello. We recently had a big problem with deleted files which caused some downloads to not show correctly and downloading didn't work. After some digging we never found out what the cause of the deletion was, neither did our webhost. We ended up deleting everything that didn't show correctly and start fresh. Don't forge that as a member you can contribute by uploading you own files. Thans!

Backyard Basketball offers two primary modes of gameplay: Single Game, which allows the player to select a team to compete against a computer-controlled team, and Season Play, which allows the player to select a team to compete against a series of computer-controlled teams over an 18-game season, including two best-of-three playoff series and a best-of-five championship series should the player achieve a large number of victories. The Single Game mode also allows the player to compete against a second player or to practice using a single character. Before games can occur, the player has the option to modify a variety of settings. These include court selection, A.I. difficulty (easy, medium, or hard), the presence of certain rules (fouls, fatigue, violations, shot control, and power-ups), sound options (game music, background sounds, and in-game dialogue), controls, and team names. Team modification also involves the customization of jerseys. The game’s controls are set to mouse usage by default, capitalizing on a point & click style of gameplay to move characters around. The game is also compatible with keyboards and game pads.

Jazz Jackrabbit 3 (alternatively called Jazz Jackrabbit 3D: Adventures of a Mean Green Hare) is the cancelled game of the series. Spearheaded by Dean "Noogy" Dodrill (an animator for Jazz Jackrabbit 2) and coded by World Tree Games, it was being developed for the original Unreal Engine technology in 1999. As the game's alternate name implies, Jazz would have venture into the realm of 3D for the first time. The game was planned for release on PC and PlayStation 2. Development of the game was ceased part way through in May 2000 as Epic MegaGames was unable to find a publisher. Since then, the alpha has been leaked on to the internet. Besides Jazz, other characters such as Spaz and Lori were intended to be playable, but in the alpha, only Jazz is playable. Following the events of Jazz Jackrabbit 2, Jazz Jackrabbit and his wife, Eva Earlong, settle down in Carrotus Castle and become parents. Devan Shell, the main antagonist of the series, kidnaps their children, taking them into an alternate universe via the time machine from the previous game. Jazz Jackrabbit 3 is a third-person shooter with platforming and adventure game elements. The mouse is used to aim and shoot, while the keyboard moves Jazz around the world. Jazz can fire his weapon, or charge up a more powerful shot. Jazz's arsenal can be expanded using coins collected to purchase new weapons and combine them with Elemental "Dream Cells" to create various weapon effects. In the alpha, only Fire and Ice Dream Cells can be acquired, and usable with two guns (the standard Blaster and the Gizmo Gun). When Jazz moves around in a level, he leaves a trail of footprints on the ground. Unlike the previous installments, Jazz Jackrabbit 3 has no levels. Rather, it is divided into sections, similar to Super Metroid. At specific points in a map, the player can travel back and forth between these sections. Each new area that is visited is prefaced by its name.

Divide by Zero’s third adventure release is an uneven space opera that has interesting puzzles and plot– marred by a huge amount of gratuitous violence and prafanity that may turn many players off. Played in the third person through an extremely linear path, Orion’s plot revolves around your character’s investigation of the death of his son at a research station in deep space. Other, more farfetched (or derivative) plot elements come into play later in the game. Much of the backstory is provided in a nifty little graphic novel packaged with the game, entitled “Devlin’s Story”. Other information, as well as comprehensive installation notes, are included in a well-presented game manual. Even with these aids, however, it was difficult to free up enough low DOS memory to run the game with sound card support. Orion does not identify how much free memory it requires, so there may be some trial and error in fine-tuning the game for best operation. To allow the game to run in less conventional memory, several command-line switches are suggested, which apparently display the screens at a slightly-lower resolution and offer automatic (but slow) scrolling at the screen edges. The point-and-click user interface performs satisfactorily, with hotspots identified on the screen and possible object interactions displayed with the right mouse button. This “giveaway” of information on how you can act upon objects may make the game puzzles rather predictable and easy. On the other hand, you may find yourself spending the majority of gameplay merely moving your character from one station destination to another – often a very time-consuming process since no “zip” mode or shortcuts have been provided and access points seem arbitrarily restricted from each other. We’ll suspend our disbelief about the amount of gravity on a 10-acre asteroid.

In 1990, Maxis made the first and legendary Simcity, a city construction simulator. Starting in 1900, no buildings exists and you have to create road, create industrial and residential zones, school, police stations and much more to make you city grow. Sometime you have to face natural disasters like a twister or a flood. In the free mode no goal is set, so the victory or the defeat does not exist. You may also play a scenario where you have a limited number of year to change the city. Several problems exist : high criminality, traffic jams, nuclear disaster or very high unemployment. The game was a big it and a lot of Sim games followed later on, though the second opus, sim city 2000, is seen as one of the best. Start building & managing your zoo right from the start -- plan out your exhibits and design a layout Do your very best to please customers and the animals Inhabit your zoo with the right animals to draw in the big crowds Over 200 animals to exhibit, plus all kinds of new & interesting plant life to help make your zoo more exotic Manage your zoo wisely -- meet the needs of both the people and the animals without losing all your money Zoo Tycoon is a zoo simulation video game putting the player in control of their own fictional zoo business. The gameplay formula introduced in the original Zoo Tycoon in 2001 received updates throughout the series, but its theme and main motifs remain unchanged: Players must build, expand, and/or upgrade a zoo by purchasing animals, creating suitable animal habitats, and allocate staff and resources for animal maintenance and care. As the ultimate goal of the game is revenue, players must also provide for visitors by building food/drink stands, sanitary facilities, picnic areas, and an aesthetically pleasing environment. Higher revenue is generated by keeping both animals and visitors happy. If the animals are released from their enclosure, they can kill the visitors. Zoo Tycoon features three modes: Scenario, Challenge, and Freestyle. The Scenario mode puts players in control of a preset scenario in which they have to accomplish multiple objectives within a time period. New items are unlocked as the scenario progresses. The Challenge mode, first introduced in Zoo Tycoon 2, resembles the Scenario mode in that the player is in a preset scenario with limited funds and must accomplish certain goals. It differs in that this mode is not progressive. The Freestyle mode differs in each game, but usually leaves the player free to build a zoo from scratch however they see it.

Cosmic Spacehead is a decent arcade adventure drawn in the illustration style of the 1950s (TV's The Jetsons comes to mind). Bright graphics, a simple point-and-click interface for the adventure elements, interspursed with enjoyable arcade romps will keep players' attention as they explore, with Cosmic, the alien landscapes. The plot is wacky enough: to obtain a hero's welcome and much-needed cash, alien Cosmic must return to Earth and photograph the previously unexplored planet to document his visit. Cosmic Spacehead is an intriguing mix of adventure and arcade action gameplay. The majority of gameplay is an interactive arcade adventure which takes Cosmic across the many bizarre locations of his three main stops on the way to Earth: planet Linoleum, Detroitica a vehicle factory on a lone asteroid, and a space station. Each destination is divided into many smaller play areas where Cosmic can interact with other characters, manipulate and use objects to further his quest. True to Codemasters' expertise as makers of fun action games, Cosmic Spacehead includes many action sequences: traveling between the adventure play areas involves the successful completion of a wide variety of 32 arcade-orientated action games, ranging from astro-car racing, robot attacks, to asteroid fields and many more. Unfortunately, the adventure portion isn't as good: the solutions to most puzzles are all too obvious, and often require items that you can only get by random luck-- definitely not a good game design. This flaw limits Cosmic Spacehead's appeal only to action fans who are interested to try out the adventure genre, or adventure fans who like a lot of action in their games. Die-hard action and adventure fans should look elsewhere for their fill.

  16. Here are some quick pointers on how to fix some common problems and help you run Advent Rising on newer PCs. High resolution and wide screen support Install Advent Revising Go to the configuration file(s) location. Open Mydefault.ini. Find FullscreenViewportX= and FullscreenViewportY= lines. Change the values to your screen resolution and save. Notes: Output always has letterboxing (disabling this stretches the output). Field of Vision (FoV) Go to the configuration file(s) location. Open defuser.ini. Change =MoveForward to =MoveForward | OnRelease FOV 91 (replace 91 with the FOV you want). Save your changes and close the file. The FOV will be applied as soon as you move forwards. Windowed Mode Go to the configuration file(s) location. Open Mydefault.ini. Find the line StartupFullscreen=, change it to False and save. Vertical Sync (VSync) Go to the configuration file(s) location. Open default.ini. Find the line UseVSync=, change it to True and save.
  17. Guide for installation of Black & White on Windows 7, 8.1, 10 (and, actually, any other Windows). 1) Start with basic installation in any folder. Usually it is C:\Program Files\Lionhead Studios Ltd\Black & White But you can try something original, to show the world how unique you are (actually you are not). 2) Install the patch. At least 1.10 (it fixes a lot of bugs and makes the graphics better). But it is better to use 1.30 (it adds new features too). Link to the patch: baw/black___white_patch_v1.300.zip Link to the DLL file for 1.30, that you need to put into the game folder: other/p5dll.zip 3) Newer Windowses (Vista and higher) have User Account Control (UAC). It can stop the game from saving properly. There are a few ways to solve this problem. Choose ONE of the following: - Disable UAC. In Windows 8.1 it may be harder than in Vista and Windows 7. - Allow simple users to change the game folder (right click on the folder > Properties > Security > press Edit > choose Users in "Group or user names" list > add "Allow" for "Full control") - Launch the game as an Administrator (right click on runblack.exe > Properties > Compatibility > Run this program as an administrator) - Install the game in a folder, where security already allows the file changing for simple users. If you already tried to save the game BEFORE any of those actions were made and you think that your saves are lost, it is not truly correct. You can restore them. By default the game would be saved here: %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore 4) Install addons and Creature Unlockers, if you need any. 5) It is recommended to use no-cd crack and use BaW Patch 2.0. It solves graphics issues that can happen on newer computers and allows Football add-on and MP3 Add-on to be used. Also, no-cd crack helps with a problem that was created by the new Windows update (which is built-in in Windows 10). More details about the patch and the patch itself can be found on the link below. ourfiles.html#bawpatch 6) It is recommended to copy the audio files from the CD. It speeds up the loading times a lot if you are using a real CD. And if you are using a crack, it allows you to have music at all. 7) Launch Setup.exe and make sure to use Maximum Detail, it is better than Custom Detail [Advanced] (even if everything there is activated). About solving graphics problems, check point 5. 😎 The game supports Widescreen resolutions, but does not allow to choose all available variants. You can manually change the game resolution here: Start > Run... > "regedit" (or Start > "regedit"), HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Lionhead Studios Ltd\Black & White\BWSetup ScreenW means width. ScreenH means height. ScreenD means depth. Usually it is better to leave it at 32. Change them as Decimal. If you don't change it manually, the image may be stretched. They may be lacking if Setup.exe was never used before. 9) Do NOT use Compatibility mode, it only makes things worse. By default it is not active, but some players activate it. It adds problems with reading of the registry. Issues include lack of correct version number in the loading screen and problems with Alignment loading. So, check if it is "off". - Credit to the original post

Running DOS games has never been easier... D-Fend Reloaded is a graphical environment for DOSBox. DOSBox emulates a complete computer including the DOS commandline and allows to run nearly all old DOS based games on modern hardware with any of the newer Windows versions. With DOSBox there is no need to worry about memory managers or free conventional RAM, but the setup of DOSBox is still a bit complicated. The configuration of DOSBox via textbased setup files might be difficult for beginners. D-Fend Reloaded may help and create these files for you. Additionally the D-Fend Reloaded installation package contains DOSBox (including all lanuage files currently available), so there is only one installation to be run and no need to link D-Fend Reloaded with DOSBox manually. Easy start: The D-Fend Reloaded installer provides everything you need to run old DOS games (D-Fend Reloaded GUI, DOSBox, language files, FreeDos commandline tools). During the first start of D-Fend Reloaded everything is set up automatically. [More...] Searching and sorting games: D-Fend Reloaded contains many service tools to keep the overview even in large game archives. Games can be filtered by categories like genre and year of publication, you can also conduct find-as-you-type searches. For every game you can setup a data folder for manuals etc. [More...] Creating new profiles: Besides using the normal profile editor, new profiles may be added by the profile wizard. Additionally templates for different game types are integrated which need only the name and the path of the game as input. [More...] Managing profiles: D-Fend Reloaded collects all information regarding a certain program in its profile (program directory, screenshot directory, manual directory, icon file etc.). Therefore complete games may be deinstalled using D-Fend Reloaded and games can be copied from one installation to another. D-Fend Reloaded is also able to build installer packes to transfer games to other computers. (To use this feature you need NSIS.) Additionally complete games can be packed to zip and 7z files by the builtin zip support for archiving or transfering. [More...] Language support: DOSBox and D-Fend Reloaded are multilingual. The installer package contains all currently available language files. D-Fend Reloaded automatically sets up the DOSBox keyboard layout which refers to the language choosen for D-Fend Reloaded. [More...] Compability: D-Fend Reloaded can read D-Fend and DBFrondend config files. D-Fend Reloaded is completely compatible with Windows Vista (in particular it runs without admin rights). [More...] More highlights: Games can be installed from zip files without any configuration.. D-Fend Reloaded may be installed in a portable operation mode (for USB-Sticks etc.). Besides DOSBox you can also use ScummVM as emulator. Also Windows-based games can be managed in D-Fend Reloaded. With the integrated Bochs-FAT-Image-Creator you may create floppy and harddisk images to be used with DOSBox directly from the D-Fend Reloaded GUI. D-Fend Reloaded can create images from CDs and floppy disks which can be used as drives in DOSBox.

Alien Incident is a fun, unassuming science fiction adventure that is great for young adventurers due to its family-oriented plot and easy puzzles. You play the role of a teenager called Benjamin who's visiting his uncle's house at Halloween. His uncle, a home-grown scientist, attempts to activate his latest invention, the wormhole spawner. Amazingly enough, it works and rips open a wormhole to another galaxy, transporting an alien spacecraft to Earth. The aliens kidnap your uncle and, surprisingly, your mission is to rescue him (and the world, but you knew that already). Strategy Plus sums up the game's appeal quite nicely as follows: "GameTek's Alien Incident must have been developed with the fledgling gamer in mind, and in that sense seems to be going in the right direction. Along with its clever animation and interesting storyline, it reinforces to the new or younger gamer the idea that fun, challenging gameplay doesn't have to include violence.... The tone of the game is well established very early and nicely maintained throughout. You cannot hope to rescue your uncle and thwart the plans of the aliens without some obstacles, so there is, of course, the usual gathering and intelligent deployment of assorted objects for puzzle. On the down side, Alien Incident seems to crash and lock up every now and then. But even when this happens, the game has an automatic recovery system. For instance, if the game crashes for whatever reason, the next time you start the game you'll find it has performed a "disaster save," and asks if you want to start where you left off. Seems like they may have been expecting a crash or two, eh? Parents will want to add this game to their shopping lists, as the story is fun and easy to follow and the interface intuitive enough to pick up with little or no coaching. Recommended primarily as family fare, this non-violent diversion should prove entertaining to Mom and Pop, as well as Billy and Sue Ellen… assuming they can withstand the occasional technical problems." Designed by Joe Ybarra, designer of the classic Starflight games, Alien Legacy is an excellent space strategy game with a good dose of adventure and action elements thrown in. In the tradition of Starflight, explore and build new colonies on distant planets while researching alien technologies. The cliche plot at the start soon evolves into an interesting mix of alien espionage, mysteries, and intergalactic conflicts. A solid game (although not a classic that Starflight is) that was severely underrated and underhyped, and light-years better than the its overhyped cousin Outpost DOSBox This requires the DOSBox emulator. James Bond: The Stealth Affair is a fun spy adventure that was originally released in Europe as Operation Stealth in Europe without the James Bond license-- a fact that explains why the game's plot doesn't follow any Bond story. That doesn't mean that the original plot here is bad, though. In fact, it is intriguing enough to be a Bond movie material: a top-secret stealth fighter has been stolen from a US base, so it's up to you to track down its location and bring it back. Of course, the fate of the whole world rest on your weary shoulders... The Stealth Affair uses a competent interface where you construct sentences from a small list of verbs such as "USE," "TALK," etc., although it is a bit confusing: "USE" and "OPERATE" are used slightly differently although they are synonyms, for example. Puzzles are fun and are neither too hard nor too easy; and since most of them involve using cool spy gadgets such as a passport falsifier, fans of spy novels will have a great time with the game. With an interesting plot, fun puzzles, and great graphics (upgraded to VGA in this US release), The Stealth Affair is highly recommended for every adventure gamer. Too bad that James Bond license Interplay paid for didn't seem to help the game's sales... although it becomes an amusing gaffe in the game: James Bond apparently had enough of Q and decided to work for the CIA instead.

When LucasArts (then LucasFilm Games) released an adventure game based on blockbuster movie Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade in 1989, an action game based on the same movie was concurrently released, but never racked up as much sales or recognition as its adventuring brethren. This failure (by Lucas' standards) isn't so surprising, however, when fans get over the initial excitement and start to scrutinize the game behind the hit license. This game may be fun for a while, but soon the fun of watching Indy use his trademark whip wears off, and fans are left with a marginally above-average platform game where each new level looks suspiciously like the last. A very frustrating difficulty level also means that only diehard Indy fans will be compelled to finish this one. DOSBox This requires the DOSBox emulator. You can get it here.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 is a real-time strategy video game which was released for Microsoft Windows on October 23, 2000 as the follow-up to Command & Conquer: Red Alert. Red Alert 2 picks up at the conclusion of the Allied campaign of the first game. Its expansion is Command & Conquer: Yuri's Revenge. Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2 contains two playable factions, the Soviets and the Allies, which both previously appeared in Command & Conquer: Red Alert. The single player campaign is structured in an alternate-ending mode as opposed to a progressive story mode. Red Alert 2 was a commercial and critical success, receiving an 86% from GameRankings. After the attempted conquest of Europe depicted in Command & Conquer: Red Alert, the Soviet Union is in utter ruin. Joseph Stalin is dead, and the Soviet military has been all but destroyed. The Allies determine that a regime change would cause mass unrest in the Soviet Union, and in order to gain both support and stability in the region, the victorious Allies name Alexander Romanov, a distant relative of Tsar Nicholas II, as the puppet Soviet Premier. Romanov acquiesces to the Allies' demands at first, though he builds up the Soviet military for "defense purposes" – a cover for an intended invasion of the United States. The game's story line starts off in 1972, with the United States Armed Forces caught completely off guard by the sudden massive Soviet invasion of the United States, with Soviet aircraft, naval vessels, amphibious forces, and paratroopers coming in on both the East Coast and West Coast and with the majority of Soviet ground forces coming in through Mexico, which had recently voted in a communist government, starting World War III. The U.S. attempts to retaliate with the use of nuclear missiles, but Yuri, leader of the Soviet Psychic Corps and Premier Romanov's top advisor, uses his mind control to manipulate the personnel charged with launching the warheads and leaves them to explode in their silos. Within hours, the U.S. is overrun with Soviet Army troops. In response, the U.S. President Michael Dugan establishes an emergency response team headed by General Dan Carville and the Commander known as "The Ghost" (the player) to the Soviet army later in the game. Note You might need to follow this tutorial (on reddit) to get the game running on newer systems like Windows 10.

This impressive add-on to the fun and frantic Red Alert 2 does what other great real-time strategy expansion packs, such as The Conquerors for Age of Empires II and Brood War for Starcraft, have done before--it makes an already great game even better, not only by piling on new features, but also by adding enough significant enhancements that the result stands out as being not just broader than its predecessor, but legitimately different. That means Yuri's Revenge will more than likely renew your interest in Westwood's over-the-top game. Many of Yuri's units are very interesting. His Gatling tanks fire faster and faster upon their targets--if you can protect them long enough, they'll eventually be dishing out huge damage at a tremendous rate of fire. These flimsy units can be great for defense from within Yuri's tank bunkers--immobile fortifications that let his tanks fire on attackers without fear of retaliation. Meanwhile, the mastermind unit, a strange tanklike vehicle, can automatically mind-control any enemy unit that crosses its path--it mind-controls units automatically, but the catch is that it starts short-circuiting if it mind-controls more than three. Yuri also commands legions of Incredible Hulk-like mutants called brutes, which can go toe-to-toe with enemy tanks. He has defensive structures that automatically mind-control groups of units that enter their sphere of influence--truly an imposing obstacle. Plus, he's got a very nasty nuclear submarine in his arsenal. Altogether, Yuri's new faction is very different from those of the Soviets and the Allies--even his ore harvester, called the slave miner, is nothing like the harvesters for the other sides. It's a self-contained refinery, and slave units automatically shovel ore into this armed platform to fuel Yuri's war effort. Like the other two factions, Yuri's side has a lot of personality and largely consists of units that are well designed, memorable, and worth using in most any battle. Yuri's forces are physically weak when directly compared with those of the Allies and Soviets--but they can be used to devious effect. Note Command & Conquer: Yuri's Revenge is an addon for Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2, you will need the original game to play. Note 2 You might need to follow this tutorial (on reddit) to get the game running on newer systems like Windows 10.

Based graphically and operationally on the film, Starship Troopers takes several cues from Heinlein's book by adding (or returning, if you want to look at it that way) powered armour, long-range jump capability and the infamous micro-nukes from the book. The missions that result are a surprisingly comfortable hybrid of the film's pitched battles and the book's guerrilla/terrorist military actions. Missions featuring the film's gun-emplacement-laden forts, holding off literally hundreds of bugs while you wait for a dropship to cart you out of the danger zone go hand-in-hand with a truly innovative propaganda mission that sees you safeguarding an unscrupulous TV presenter as he films the recently evacuated inhabitants of a faming community being "safely" returned to their homes. The defining feature of squad-based RTS games is that there's no way to reinforce your team once you enter the combat zone. Okay, there's the odd mission where you get an extra squad member to babysit or a rescue mission with some healable walking wounded, but the fundamental dynamic of this game is that you have to keep your troops alive from the beginning of a mission to the end. Wounded troopers can be med-evac-ed mid-mission if you've chosen a medic as one of your support troopers (support troopers feature psychics, snipers, medics and the minelayer/armour-healer engineers), but should you run out of med-evac resources (four per medic per mission), you're pretty much obliged to return to wherever your troopers died and retrieve his dog-tags.
