    windows Conan

Conan is a third-person action-adventure game with the majority of the action being real time hack and slash combat, though you also have to solve puzzles in the game. The player can acquire up to 14 different weapons and learn new fighting techniques similar to other role-playing video games. There are more than 70 levels, spanning from volcanoes to jungles, in which Conan faces 12 bosses and collects pieces of a legendary Atlantean sword.
There was a multiplayer mode via Xbox Live before it went offline, where players could compete in three different game modes, play in more than 16 different maps, and had 16 different characters to play as.
The events take place in the mythical era from the original books and comics known as the "Hyborian Age". When Conan sees his home village of Grannach burnt to the ground by the mysterious Vulture cult, he begins his quest for revenge against them.

dos Desert Strike - Return to the Gulf

An isometric-view heli-shooter, not bad at all - just leave out the idiotic story. That banal premise has probably been played to death by the many follow-ups, without adding anything to the game. Despite cliche premise (part of the war effort in the Gulf, yada yada yada), the game is a lot of fun. Your helicopter has various weapons and a winch, which can be used to pickup ammo, fuel, armor, and even POW's. Missions range from rescue to seek and destroy, and the game switches objectives often enough that it never becomes boring. The maps are huge, and full of interesting power-ups, secrets, and various ground-based enemies. You can blow up most things, including buildings, and the graphics are superior to most games at the time.
Overall, a great game for all fans of shooters which might even appeal to flight sim gamers. The successor Jungle Strike is also available at this site.

    dos Retribution

The plot: as the name implies, fight to avenge the fallen of your race that have been ?harvested? by the evil Krellans (no relation to Star Fleet games). Cutscenes and digitized speech both add to the atmosphere, but unfortunately the plot doesn?t get better than the very simplistic kill-the-aliens premise. Between missions, you can wander around in the base talking to different characters (who look remarkably similar to pilots in Wing Commander 1), who often have tips or info on the backstory.
The writing is sub-par, however, making these ?interactive scenes? little more than a waste of space. The good news is that true to Gremlin?s reputation as developer of some of the best in-game 3D graphics, the 3D landscapes in Retribution are very smooth and detailed, with good gouraud-shading effects similar to NovaLogic games. Gremlin touted their technology as ?logi-scape real time landscape generating technology incorporating new "Deep Horizon' format,? and the results are great to look at.
Retribution is a very challenging game that gets very hard very fast. With eleven major campaigns, each with 4 highly strategic missions, and 8 training missions to enhance performance, Retribution will keep the most expert of pilots occupied for some time. Recommended, but only for veteran gamers who are looking for a furious space combat game without the need for an engaging plot.

    dos Jungle Strike

In Jungle Strike you're mainly controlling the prototype helicopter "Comanche". In some missions, you can also use a hovercraft, a motorbike, or a F117 fighter.
The controls in this shoot-em up are very easy and straightforward. As in most arcade shooters, you must collect new ammo, armor and fuel while fighting land, sea, and air-based enemies. In a nod to hard-core flight sims, all missions contain several sub-objectives, which have to be fulfilled in a given order. Most missions are set in either a jungle or city area.
With a good combination of arcade and sim elements, Jungle Strike is highly recommended for fans of the genre. If you like Safari's games (e.g. Seek & Destroy) but wish they were more sim-oriented in terms of having mission objectives and depletable fuel, Desert Strike is the answer.

    dos Cosmic Spacehead

Cosmic Spacehead is a decent arcade adventure drawn in the illustration style of the 1950s (TV's The Jetsons comes to mind).
Bright graphics, a simple point-and-click interface for the adventure elements, interspursed with enjoyable arcade romps will keep players' attention as they explore, with Cosmic, the alien landscapes. The plot is wacky enough: to obtain a hero's welcome and much-needed cash, alien Cosmic must return to Earth and photograph the previously unexplored planet to document his visit.
Cosmic Spacehead is an intriguing mix of adventure and arcade action gameplay. The majority of gameplay is an interactive arcade adventure which takes Cosmic across the many bizarre locations of his three main stops on the way to Earth: planet Linoleum, Detroitica a vehicle factory on a lone asteroid, and a space station. Each destination is divided into many smaller play areas where Cosmic can interact with other characters, manipulate and use objects to further his quest.
True to Codemasters' expertise as makers of fun action games, Cosmic Spacehead includes many action sequences: traveling between the adventure play areas involves the successful completion of a wide variety of 32 arcade-orientated action games, ranging from astro-car racing, robot attacks, to asteroid fields and many more.
Unfortunately, the adventure portion isn't as good: the solutions to most puzzles are all too obvious, and often require items that you can only get by random luck-- definitely not a good game design. This flaw limits Cosmic Spacehead's appeal only to action fans who are interested to try out the adventure genre, or adventure fans who like a lot of action in their games. Die-hard action and adventure fans should look elsewhere for their fill.

Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade

When LucasArts (then LucasFilm Games) released an adventure game based on blockbuster movie Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade in 1989, an action game based on the same movie was concurrently released, but never racked up as much sales or recognition as its adventuring brethren. This failure (by Lucas' standards) isn't so surprising, however, when fans get over the initial excitement and start to scrutinize the game behind the hit license. This game may be fun for a while, but soon the fun of watching Indy use his trademark whip wears off, and fans are left with a marginally above-average platform game where each new level looks suspiciously like the last. A very frustrating difficulty level also means that only diehard Indy fans will be compelled to finish this one.

    Terminator: Future Shock

To make a video game that continues the tradition of the hard-hitting, multi-million dollar Terminator movie series, you have to combine engaging action with mind-altering special effects, gratuitous violence, and a solid storyline.
Bethesda Softworks successfully pulls together all of these elements and spits a few more in your face in Terminator: Future Shock[, the fourth game in its line of action games based on the hit movie. Future Shock, as with earlier Terminator titles from Bethesda, is a great 3D shooter that combines three types of action: walking, driving, and flying, all of which are a lot of fun to play. The 3D engine has been vastly improved from the impressive but buggy one used in Terminator: Rampage. The post-apocalyptic world you explore is filled with fires, half-buried cars, and incredibly detailed robotic enemies, including the dreaded Terminators. The game world itself is well thought-out: you can enter nearly every building to search for weapons, ammo, and med canisters as the familiar adrenaline-pumping Terminator soundtrack echoes in the background. Your arsenal range from Uzis, plasma rifles, and grenades to the trusty shotgun. The graphics, music, and sound effects are superb. You can hear Raptors (one of the most prevalent types of robot) sneaking up in packs behind you. The creepy image of a Spiderbot prancing your way should be enough to shake up even a veteran action fan. Looks aside, the real beauty of Terminator: Future Shock is its smooth control system. Using a keyboard/mouse combination, you move quickly and aim accurately as you navigate through Los Angeles. In the driving and flying modes, you're even able to travel in one direction and shoot in another, a feature that comes in very handy when you're running away.

    Terminator: Rampage

Terminator: Rampage is the third game in Bethesda's "The Terminator" (tm) series, in which you must travel to the past in order to protect the future. The plot is standard post-apocalyptic mumbo-jumbo: it's the year 2029 in Los Angeles. They thought the holocaust had ended when the Orbital Platform was destroyed. They were wrong. SkyNET launched a Doomsday Plan. You must destroy the Machines before they terminate Mankind.
The game is based on the engine used in earlier Terminator 2029, but with obvious graphics enhancements. Despite more impressive graphics, however, the gameplay is somewhat inferior to the first 2 Terminator games from Bethesda due to numerous bugs and boring level design. The game feels rushed and unfinished-- as if Bethesda was scrambling to meet a publishing deadline. This is unfortunate, as the game has a good potential to be a great game once kinks in the engine and all bugs are ironed out.

    Grand Theft Auto

The player is free to do whatever they want, but have limited lives upon doing so. The player can gain points by causing death and destruction amid the traffic in the city, or steal and sell cars for profit. To get to the large target money required to complete a level, players will usually opt to complete at least some missions to build up their multiplier. Some criminal acts have an inherent multiplier; for example, using a police car for running over people doubles the number of points received. If the player is arrested then their multiplier is halved. Unlike in later games in the series, the player can be killed, or "wasted", in one hit without body armor. If the player is wasted then they lose a life. In both cases the player loses their current equipment. If the player is wasted too many times, they must restart the level.

    Last Action Hero

Developer Psygnosis Limited Publisher Psygnosis Limited Release 1994
A fun but easy action game based on the Disney movie of the same name, Last Action Hero follows the movie's plot closely as an all-brawns-but-no-brains hero you must rescue the kids from the clutches of the town's gangsters.

Gameplay is divided between a fun top-down car chasing sequence, and a disappointingly bad side-scrolling arcade portion when you barge into the warehouse to find the kids. It's an okay game that should be played only for the first part.

    Jurassic Park

DOSBox This game requires DOSBox emulator. Get it here A fun overhead action game based on best-selling book and film, OCEAN's Jurassic Park is based on the hit movie of the same name that, in turn, was adapted from Michael Crichton's best-selling novel.

The game starts off when the action begins to heat up, i.e. after the dinosaurs are loose. As none other than Dr. Alan Grant, world-renown paleontologist, your goal is to find Tim and Lex, two kids who are lost on the Jurassic Park island which has been overrun by hungry carnivores. In the process, you must fight off scores of dinosaurs and destroy their eggs to stop the breeding. You start off with a powerful gun that shoots electric rays that can kill pesky Triceratops in a few shots, but is almost useless against their meaner cousins, such as the Brachiosaurus. Fortunately, you will soon come across more powerful weapons, different types of ammos, and even time bombs that are used for blowing up Raptor nests.

Although the game has only 6 levels, they increase both in difficulty and length, making the game a good match for joystick experts who scoff at easy games. There are also some puzzle elements within the game, such as accessing the computers to open electrified gates, or figuring out how to kill the gigantic Tyrannosaurus Rex. Two players can also play together, and each level helps advance the game's (and movie's) plot.

    windows Postal

Kill anything that moves. That, in a nutshell, is the entire purpose of Postal, the shooting game published by Ripcord Games. The basic story is very simple. One day you wake up, walk out of your house with a weapon in hand, and begin blowing away every single living thing you can set your eyes on. It doesn't matter if the victims in this quiet little sleepy town of Paradise, Arizona are policemen, medics or innocent bystanders (and there are hundreds of them), they are all targets for your rampaging, murderous character.
Killing indiscriminately, you travel from one (town location) map to another, leaving behind a bloody trail of bodies and carnage. With a large number of weapons to choose from and an assortment of victims to blast your way through, Postal is action filled from bloody beginning to violent end. The game's single-minded purpose notwithstanding, Postal comes with potential for sound and level editing so you can personalize it and allows for multiplayer mayhem with up to fifteen other players. Featuring inhumane, cold blooded killing and no purpose other than to lay waste to as many fellow human beings as possible, Postal truly stands in a zone of its own -- a killing zone. Be forewarned, Postal is definitely not for the squeamish or moralistic purist.

    Raiden

DOSBox This game requires DOSBox emulator. Get it here Raiden is an old dos game, published in 1994 by Seibu Kaihatsu. Raiden is a classic 2D shooter, like Xenon or Raptor - many similar games have been released. This type of game was very popular in arcades and some of them have been very popular and fun to play. Unfortunately, Raiden is not like such games, because it has not bring anything new, and this game is about... basically nothing. The game does not have a basic idea and if there is any, I did not find it. Graphics lag behind other games (for example, flying objects have no hint of their own shadow, while buildings have only a parody of shadow). Although the game does not have good graphics and the music is lagging behind, we might enjoy the game if it had a super gameplay. Well, it doesn't. The game was obviously not prepared primarily for the computer with the keyboard, because the enemies are moving incredibly fast, shooting everywhere around you and you can beat the levels, only if you have reflexes at the F1 pilot level. If you have a key to knock out all levels without cheats, let me know.

Created by the same team that gave us The New Adventures of Zak McKracken, LucasFan this time did not give us a new storyline, but recreated the story and gameplay of LucasFilm's original game that is 100% faithful Everything from the characters' wisecracks, object descriptions, multiple solutions, and multiple endings are all here to delight a whole new generation of adventure gamers. If you have played the original (and if you have been playing adventure games since the 1980s but never played this one, shame on you ;)), stop reading this now and go get it - you will marvel at Ron Gilbert's ingenuity all over again. If you have never played the original, you are in for a real treat. This excellent (and deservedly gushing) review at MobyGames says it all about why a game made in 1987 remains better than most adventure games made over a decade later: "Few games can claim to be a revolution in every aspect of it's genre, few games that is, aside from Maniac Mansion. From interface, to plotline, to graphics, to design, etc... MM managed to become the holy grail of adventure games and it's influence can still be felt to this day.

Snow flurries surround you while playing as Santa in this comical game. Santa has discovered trouble once again while trying to deliver packages to all the good boys and girls. It's your mission to get him back on track before the night is over. The game definitely has a holiday theme with the music and the decorations. You'll see a few shoppers who are out and about trying to find the perfect gift as well as a few children who might need to go on the naughty list. Homes feature children getting ready for bed and cookies being made in the hopes that Santa will arrive on time. While dressed as Santa, you have to complete obstacles to get as many toys in your bag as possible. Some of them are clearly seen on trails, and there are some that are hiding and rather difficult to find. There are challenges that seem a bit tricky as Santa has to get over ice spots and avoid evil penguins. After you collect the presents, you have to take them to the homes to deliver them by going down a chimney. Some of the fireplaces haven't been put out, making it hard to get inside the house except for maneuvering around the fire. If you happen to fall while getting the presents or making deliveries, then it will make it hard to get to the next level.

    Opera

With so much attention focused on Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, it would be easy to forget that Opera even exists. But it does, and the fact that it has been somewhat overshadowed by three big rivals is no reason to think it's not worth checking out. Opera is based on Chromium, but the look is different to just about everything else on the market. Making use of the fact that monitors are widescreen, Opera maximizes the amount of vertical space it has to display web sites by featuring a sidebar to the left of the screen to provide access to bookmarks, history and other options, freeing up the top of the screen. The sidebar is also home to shortcuts to apps such as Facebook Messenger, Telegram and WhatsApp, which is a very nice touch. There's an integrated news reader, and Opera can be expanded through the use of extensions. There are thousands of add-ons available, and you can even use Chrome plugins if you can't find a native extension that does what you need. Open a new tab and the customizable Speed Dial provides access to a search function and your favourite websites. The look of the browser is pleasingly customisable too, thanks to a dark theme option and the ability to change background images. User experience You don’t have to spend long using Opera to wonder quite why it is you don’t hear more about the browser – even if it is a little quirky. There are no traditional menus needed for daily use: click the bookmarks button, or history, and it loads in a browser tab. There is a menu that's somewhat hidden under the Opera button but you'll probably never need it. As with Firefox and Chrome, you can synchronize bookmarks and settings between computer – or even the mobile version of the browser – and there are so many extra features (ad blocking, VPN and data compression to name but three), it puts other browsers to shame. Everything feels wonderful speedy and slick as well, and the pop out video player that lets you keep browsing while a video continues to play – and remains visible – is just brilliant. Truly inspiring stuff.

    Vivaldi

The Good  Fast Lot’s of settings Fully customizable The bad No sync of bookmarks, passwords or anything between devices. Vivaldi, which is based on the same technology as Google Chrome, is a fully customizable open source browser. It's not as fast as some of its rivals, but its developers are adding innovative new features with every release (ever fancied controlling your lighting from your browser?) and everything is fully customizable. Not only  can you choose your own shortcuts, alter the main menu design and specify the control panel placement, Vivaldi also lets you arrange browser tabs, letting you place the tabs at the top, bottom, left or right of the screen. You can also hide them altogether and use shortcuts instead. If you're prone to keeping lots of tabs open, Vivaldi lets you stack and group them to make navigation even easier. Save your favourite tabs after a session, ready to reload any time. A built-in browser notification function makes it easy to create memos. Vivaldi then takes a screen shot of your desktop and adds it to your memo automatically. You can use Vivaldi to access the Chrome Web Store, and you can use Chrome add-ons to expand Vivaldi with a host of extra functions. Vivaldi lets you build your own browser that suits the way you like to browse the web, and the whole process is broken into manageable steps that even a complete newcomer could follow. First, you're prompted to choose a color scheme and tab position (along the top, the bottom, or either side), which will determine the overall look of Vivaldi. Positioning tabs along the side might seem odd, but the extra space means there's room for a preview in each one, making them easier to navigate. Once that's done, you're ready to start setting up your homepage. This can be any website you like, or you can use a tool called Speed Dial to create a set of tiles for quick access to your favorite sites. It's much like a Favorites menu, but more convenient. Bookmarks and downloads are accessible via a narrow navigation bar on the left called the Panel, which can be collapsed using a little switch at the bottom. Here you'll also find a notes tool that works much like a text-only version of Evernote, enabling you to jot down thoughts while you browse. You can also add site links to the Panel, which open alongside the main browser window. This is a particularly good way to keep an eye on your Twitter feed. At the bottom of the Panel you'll find Vivaldi's main settings icon. As you'd expect, the options here are extensive. Some of the most significant are: keyboard, where you can define your own shortcuts; mouse, for setting gestures; and privacy, including phishing protection. If you're on a slow connection, you can toggle images off using the small picture icon at the bottom left. The double arrow icon beside this offers a range of filters and effects. Some of these (like highlight focus and the CSS debugger) have a clear purpose, whereas others (like the 3D effect that skews the page to create a 'turning' effect) are just for fun. Finally, visiting vivaldi://extensions to access to the Chrome web store, where you can install any add-on built for Google's web browser. Extension icons will appear to the right of the browser's search box. The whole process is surprisingly engaging, and you can easily spend hours tweaking and customizing Vivaldi. If you're tired of the usual web browsers and think you could do better, Vivaldi is well worth a look.

    Spybot

Spybot is a malware remover. It is designed for basic use yet offers complex menus and information for advanced users. After installation, the program will offer to create a whitelist. This process indexes files for faster scans and isn't recommended unless the host computer is known to be clean. For best results cancel this option, update the software, run a full scan then create a whitelist if all is clean. Real-time protection, protects one or more user profiles. Scan didn't detect malware coded file, does not uninstall cleanly.

  • Forge Mod

Minecraft Forge API is an open-source utility or mod-layer for Minecraft versions 1.11.2, 1.12, 11.12.1 and 11.12.2 packed with modification features that equip both developers and players with modding capabilities. Players and developers can use the Minecraft Forge tool to reduce existing Minecraft mod incompatibilities or iron them out completely.

An example of its effective use would be players installing multiple mods with similar functionality without experiencing any errors or glitches, while developers can connect their mods without having to worry about any conflicts with other connected mods. Install Instruction:

All new Minecraft Forge versions come standard with in-built installers. The installation steps below apply to v1.5.2 and previous versions: Download the latest available version of Minecraft Forge. Unzip the .jar file and run it. Select Install Client, the installer will automatically find the standard Minecraft mods folder. Let the installer finish. Open you Minecraft launcher and check if a new profile has been created. If a new profile "Forge" is created, select it and run Minecraft. Follow the steps below if a new profile is not created after you've installed the Forge mod: Open the Minecraft launcher. Mouse Tweaks

Mouse Tweaks replaces the standard RMB dragging mechanic, adds two new LMB dragging mechanics and an ability to quickly move items with the scroll wheel. Everything can be enabled and disabled in the configuration file or in Forge's mod options menu.

    Configuration file: .minecraft/config/MouseTweaks.cfg

    RMB Tweak

Very similar to the standard RMB dragging mechanic, with one difference: if you drag over a slot multiple times, an item will be put there multiple times. Replaces the standard mechanic if enabled. Configuration setting: RMBTweak=1 Hold your right mouse button Drag your mouse around the crafting grid You can drag your mouse on top of existing items LMB Tweak (with item)

Lets you quickly pick up or move items of the same type. Configuration setting: LMBTweakWithItem=1 Hold your left mouse button to pick up an item Drag your mouse across the inventory. Items of the same type will be picked up Hold shift and drag. Items of the same type will get "shift-clicked" MB Tweak (without item)

Quickly move items into another inventory. Configuration setting: LMBTweakWithoutItem=1 Hold shift, then hold your left mouse button (Mouse cursor is not visible for some reason) Drag your mouse across the inventory. Items will get "shift-clicked" (Mouse cursor is not visible for some reason) Wheel Tweak

Scroll to quickly move items between inventories. When you scroll down on an item stack, its items will be moved one by one. When you scroll up, items will be moved into it from another inventory.

    Configuration setting: WheelTweak=1

    Configuration setting: WheelSearchOrder=1

When you scroll up, the mod will search for items from last to first (when this is set to 1) or from first to last (when this is set to 0).

    Configuration setting: WheelScrollDirection=0

Set this to 1 to invert the default scroll actions. So, when set to 1, scrolling down will pull the items and scrolling up will push the items.

    Configuration setting: OnTickMethodOrder=Forge, LiteLoader

Mouse Tweaks can use multiple APIs for an OnTick method that it requires. You can use this setting to control the API it prefers. This shouldn't really matter at all. If a method isn't supported (for example, you don't have the API installed) the mod will proceed to check the next ones.

    Sildur's shaders

    What is "Sildurs shaders"?

Sildur's Shaders is an extension of GLSL shader mod. This shaderpack adds several effects to the game, like shadows, volumetric lighting, bloom and water reflections. Unlike other shaderpacks, Sildur's Shaders is designed to work on all graphics cards and computers, including Macs, while still delivering a great graphical experience. See below for screenshots and download links.

I run this shader as my default one. Recommended version is "high". It looks awesme and the video below was made with this shader mod.
